GENERAL PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Each year in the United States, more than 500 thousand people suffer from burn injuries. And no one understands more than professional fire fighters and emergency medical personnel that burn injuries are one of the worst insults that can be inflicted on the human body. That is why they have taken the lead in supporting the IAFF Burn Foundation and have provided millions of dollars in funding to regional burn centers and burn research.

Since 1982, the IAFF Burn Foundation has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for burn survivors of all ages. The support the IAFF Burn Foundation receives through its fundraising efforts year goes towards developing burn prevention and education materials, providing funding and assistance for adult burn survivor retreats, and offering direct financial assistance to regional burn camps. These efforts have resulted in dramatically improved burn care for millions of burn survivors throughout the United States and Canada. Thank you for your support of the IAFF Burn Foundation. With your help, the IAFF Burn Foundation will continue to improve care for all burn survivors.
